Fulbright Update.

"Dear Miss Baer,

Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for a US Student Fulbright award for 2012-2013 to Mongolia. Shortly you will receive a letter from the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board with further details of the award."

I am an official Fulbright Scholar!! I will be leaving in September of 2012 to go to Mongolia!! OMG

I've been dreaming about this since my sophomore year of college. So this is a really big moment for me and for my family. So excited.

What's this all about?

I'm Lisa.

After graduating college from Georgia College and State University in the spring of 2011, I accepted a job teaching English in China. I left Atlanta, GA on September 4th, 2011 and I returned on July 9th, 2012.

After teaching English in China, I received a Fulbright Scholarship for an English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) through the U.S. Department of State. My additional project while in Mongolia was researching family and cultural values. I traveled to Mongolia on August 7th, 2012 and I returned to America on June 9th, 2013.

I was accepted into the University of South Dakota's PhD program for Clinical Psychology in 2013. After 5 years, I graduated from the University of South Dakota in the summer of 2018, after completing my residency in Dayton, Ohio as a Captain in the USAF. Following that, the Air Force moved me to Texas and I became a licensed Clinical Psychologist.

I'm currently living in Abilene, Texas.
